| We hope you have had a restful holiday season after a crazy and hectic 2020. Firstly, we would like to thank you for the depth of your support during such uncertain times last year. It was both encouraging and comforting to know our work is so appreciated. As an ever-evolving small business, we are continually looking at ways to improve our processes and products to deliver the best customer experience and personalised service.
This year, we are redesigning the ‘custom makes’ process. In the past we would accept upwards of 50 jobs over an eight-week period, which didn’t give us much room to move when it came to our schedule, leading to job extensions and stress for both our clients and our team.
After seeking advice from a local consultant, we have evaluated our available time and divided that by how many jobs we can complete in that time, alongside all other aspects of running a successful business. We will be significantly reducing how many ‘active’ jobs we have running simultaneously to improve this process and our productivity.
Our process will now include working even closer with you to create your perfect piece, including finding the perfect stone! We will also be able to provide updates, make progress photos available, and reduce the overall wait time per piece.
We have received so many inquiries about when we will be taking on new bookings (which we are so excited about!). We plan to finalise all existing jobs before commencing the next round. Start fresh and keep it manageable is our thinking! With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that we will be taking our next round of bookings between the 13th April & the 23rd April (Tues/Wed & Fri only). These bookings are not yet released on the website, and will not be until the 17th March, so we ask that you keep an eye out on the website as they will get snapped up fast!
With this new system, the great news is we will be moving through jobs at a quicker pace, so don’t get disheartened if you miss out for April, we will have new appointments popping up regularly. Emails will come out to advise those on our mailing list when these are available, so if you not already on there, head over and sign up!
Side note: We have allowed specialised time for engagement rings, so please get in touch if you after something perfect for your partner to be. There is nothing we love more than being a part of such a special moment
Our revaluation of time has also included the ability to design more NVJ exclusive pieces, which our team missed. We have been busy sourcing gems and have many tourmalines, sapphires, and rutile quartz coming to some signature NVJ pieces soon. You will also see more earrings, an organic range of engagement and dress rings and many more unique NVJ pieces in 2021.
2021 will also see the development of our Venus seashell range into a premium line. We have been working closely with local artist ‘Ebb Draws’ to develop some exciting additions to this range. We can’t wait to share these with you.
This year is about bringing balance and focus, and we genuinely believe this can happen if we can stick to these values. We are so excited for 2021 and can’t wait to share our progress with you all!
