The new monthly gift cards have been a huge hit for February birthdays! They are super cute and each month will have a new stone to present and cheeky character to capture the energy of that month. It’s a beautiful way of supporting a local artist and an affordable way to treat your loved one to a bespoke keepsake image. Liz is a published Illustrator, of Grace Has a Secret, with local Authors Prudence Holling and Phillipa Ray. Liz is currently studying a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts with Honours at UTAS. Liz has already got March ready to launch and I’m really excited to see the preview. Liz will be undertaking a 2 week Artist in Residence in India, leaving this weekend, so no doubt she will have lots of exciting ideas to add to her new monthly release on her return. These are a permanent release and we will be doing re runs as needed. They cost $6.00 each. February is just fabulous and I’ve already received so many comments of people looking forward to later months. I’m eagerly awaiting my Peridot Image come August!!

So only 2 weeks to go until the next reveal!! I still have a decent amount left, available to purchase in store and online (if you just want a card purchased online, I’ll give you a free shipping code !!) If you want to see more of Liz’s whimsical illustrations or commission her to do your own bespoke portrait (this would make an amazing wedding gift or significant birthday/anniversary gift, just sayin!!) you can visit her website www.elizabeth-braid.com or Instagram @elizabeth_braid

Other gift cards available in store are beautiful Tasmanian Devil images, 2 studio images and 2 incredible camera trap images, captured by my friend and local Photo Journalist Heath Holden. These are also $6 each or the 4 images are available in a 4 pack for $20, again if you would like to order them online, I’ll give you a free shipping code. Heath has been working on his Devil collection for over 7 years, with goals of having high quality wild images without the use of baits or set ups. Just sweet photos of the devils doing their thing, in the wild. He fully succeeded his mission and created an amazing exhibition called Devils Diorama with his laborious collection of extraordinary wild images. Heath’s work has been featured in numerous magazines around the world and advertising campaigns, but his most significant publication was National Geographic Magazine, in the iconic “Wildlife As Canon Sees It” ad on the back cover. BACK COVER of NG!!  Heath is currently represented by Getty Images, Lonely Planet and f-stop Gear and right now on assignment in Doha, Qatar.

If you need a little Tasmanian keepsake or send some sweet cards off, old school in the snail mail, I have you covered. Heath also had postage stamps with an image of his on them, but I was a bit late to the party on that one… So if any of my readers are avid stamp collectors, hook a sister up please.

All my gift lines are carefully and thoughtfully curated, with values, principles and ethics that are in alignment with my own. Supporting local artists is imperative amongst our talented community. The arts is truly a beautiful way of expression, and essential part of our lives. A simple gift card is an easy way to share it.  I’ll be sharing more on my gift lines over the coming weeks, and I have a couple of larger blog pieces I’m working on. I have a couple of amazing stories to share when I am able to, so keep your eyes peeled as I become a more regular “blogger”.

If you are a Tasmanian maker of high quality products and would like to feature in store or online, get in touch through the Contacts page with a little about you, an image and what you do.

Til next time,

keep sharing the love.
