Most Sapphires in Tasmania are alluvial, meaning that they are found in sediments in rivers and streams. Zircon and Black Spinel are also generally found in the same areas as Sapphires. Most Tasmanian Sapphires are small, and tend to be a dark blue colour, but other colours can be found, including Parti Sapphires.
This little Tasmanian Sapphire is a very affordable piece with nice colour throughout.
This stone is suitable for wearing daily, and would suit a dainty ring, or an accent stone in a larger piece. Don't forget to book a consult with Nicole here so she can bring your ideas for this stone to life!
